In an effort to make sure that you all still had access to the player pool and trend table, I am writing this from a hotel lobby while my family still sleeps in. First world problems, am I right?
Anyway, I’ve made the pool and the trend table public links for you all to click and peruse as you wish and I’ll post the screen shots below , too. It will be an extremely abbreviated thoughts section.
The folks at SBR Review had me back to write a betting article again on top finishes and when I get a public link for that, I will share so you can read my thoughts (after nailing Bryson at the US Open) and also check out all the other awesome content they have.
So, onto the links, both golf course version and clickable URL version. Click the capitalized words below to access each:
PLAYER POOL
TREND TABLE
Most of the usual suspects here.
Finau is number one in the trend table which I found extremely interesting.
Collin is 14th in the trend table and is on an unreal run. I picked Xander to win in the betting article I wrote, but Collin to top 5 and honestly, I’m thinking you might need some Collin outrights, too. His play has been absolutely absurd and he has a 56% top 5 rate over the past three months.
Corey Conners continues to make a lot of sense to me.
Harman is coming on extremely strong and eerily reminds me of last year in this space when I was all over him and he won. I think he’ll be heavily in the mix again.
Sungjae’s price is disrespectful. I think it’s because he’s missed the cut in all three majors to date, which is incredibly odd, given how well he’s performed this season. Going back to RBC Heritage, he’s finished 12th at RBC, 4th at Wells, 9th at the CSC, 8th at Memorial, 3rd at Travelers, 12th at John Deere & 4th at the Scottish. It’s just been the major hiccups. The good news is this is a course that will actually accentuate his strengths unlike the other major venues. I have a horrible feeling he’s going to be pure chalk, though, given price.
McKibbin let me and a lot of people down last week. And yet he remains… curious.
Hatton should probably be higher up.
Will Bobby Mac recover from his hangover in enough time? That was amazing theater on Sunday.
If Soderberg is healthy, I think he’s solid.
Hadwin has been popping up in the models and logged a 34th at the Scottish. Had a top 30 at Travelers, too. Given how dirt cheap he is, I think he’s worth a flier, especially if he comes in sub 5% on clicks. He’s 2/3 in majors made cuts this year.
I wonder if we get a bounce back from Ferguson.
I wish McNealy’s ball striking relative to the field was better, but man alive is he cheap.
Poston I almost left off, but he’s so accurate off the tee and such a strong putter, at price, I figured I’d leave him in.
Good luck - if you have questions you can find me on Twitter at TopherThinks. Let’s enjoy sleep deprivation and get 6/6 through.
