THE COURSE
The Renaissance Club is a links course in the sense that an American golf architect built his vision of a links course with modern updates. A lot of the greens are elevated, the ocean is only available on a handful of holes and there are a lot more wooded areas.
The most demanding aspect of the course is putting, so that was given appropriate weight inside the model.
The field itself is major adjacent, with all the big names in attendance, and that includes several of the LIV guys, such as Rahm & Hatton.
Don’t forget, this is an incredibly early lock, locking at 2 AM Eastern time, so get your lineups in order and entered before you fall asleep tonight.
THE PLAYER POOL
It’s not a shock to see both Scottie & Rory lead us off — they will most of the time they’re both in the field. Rory has a much better course history here than Scottie does. We’ll have to continue to monitor where roster numbers come in because both seem a bit high to me, although more for Scottie because of his usual prohibitive salary.
