RBC Canadian: Player Pool
There's a flock of moosen

A constricted schedule this week, let’s dive right in. This course isn’t going to do a ton of challenging. 35 players last year finished double digits below par.
PLAYER POOL
Just a ridiculous amount of chalk up at the top, to be expected. In fields like this, where the top dogs are going to collect all the clicks. I feel like Rose, Koepka and maybe Morikawa are fine for chalk purposes.
Really like Bud Cauley from a salary, clicks & value perspective.
Lowry probably isn’t a bad click at roster percentage and did pretty decently here last year.
Lord knows what Hovland is going to be. He’s been pretty average this year, for a player of his caliber. However, if he comes in sub 10%, he has the talent to compete and beat anyone in this field.
Matt Wallace has made seven straight cuts and isn’t getting any attention - very solid click.
Really like Putnam as a click as well, and have a fair bit of interest in Potgieter.
VALUE BUCKET
Conners getting clicks cause of his name & the whole being Canadian thing. He was dog water at Memorial and has been very subpar this year.
Smotherman treated us well at Charles Schwab.
I’m fine with any of these clicks - Eckroat especially. We don’t need that much value on the board with salaries this week, and honestly - given how condensed the clicks are at the top, I feel like you can play this a bit contrarian and lean into some of these pieces and then pair yourself with Hovland/Lowry at the top or Hovland/Morikawa.
Apologies again, for the brevity, and good luck this week. Let’s get 6/6 through.
Shinnecock next week!
