With Mother’s Day this past weekend, I didn’t get a chance to do my normal look back, but the player pool hit at a 75% rate for made cut and I mentioned that Day would win if Scheffler didn’t. Did I play Day? Of course not. But had a fun Sunday sweat.
Oak Hill in Rochester, NY is the site of our second major. It’s be re-designed to fit the original Donald Ross vision and it’s going to be extremely long, the fairways very narrow and the 3” rough tremendously penal. It’s going to be great.
The player pool IS coming, as is Model Musing’s and Toph’s thoughts, but one of the sites I use to pull data from is currently down so it’s halted the process on the player pool significantly. My hope is that by tonight it’s up and running again and I’ll be able to continue to input the data to give us a true to form player pool. Teaser - Brooks Koepka is at the top, currently, on the strength of a very strong performance at Augusta, but again — I’m using a lot of caution with the LIV guys. They did ok at Augusta with Brooks & Phil finishing highly, but I draw you back to the fact that Augusta is the stickiest course anyone plays every year due to how much it stays the same.
